Join our Wine Club which consists of six very low production local wines. Cost of the club this time around is $87.96 ($95.00 with sales tax) which is a 36% savings if bought separately at each individual winery. If each bottle were purchased separately at the Market, your regular price would be $133.18. The six wines are Blackjack Ranch 2006 “Allusion” Santa Barbara County Bordeaux Red Blend, Cane and Fable 2013 Paso Robles Merlot, Quail Crossing Vineyard 2013 Santa Ynez Valley Pinot Grigio, Flying Nymph by Cass 2013 Paso Robles Rhone Red Blend, Consilience 2012 Santa Barbara County Syrah and YNOT by Flying Goat 2013 Santa Barbara County Pinot Noir. Notice one white in your batch this time as a token for our great weather we’ve been enjoying nearly all year long. We are super excited to offer this tasty assortment of Steller wines which we will mix up twice a year. You may join in person at the market or send me an email and we’ll work it our over the internet. As an added bonus, you also receive some nice “perks” with membership. With your purchase comes two free tastings to our Steller Cellar Saturday Night pours, as well as tasting coupons from participating wineries.
Here’s a little information on each of these Steller varietals in your wine club:
Quail Crossing Vineyard 2013 Santa Ynez Valley Pinot Grigio: This is a very limited selection small batch wine produced from an only two acre vineyard located on North Refugio Road in the Santa Ynez Valley AVA. Only about 400 cases of this delicious wine is produced every year, with delightful flavors of peaches and nectarines. Winery price on this beauty is $20.00
YNOT by Flying Goat 2013 Santa Barbara County Pinot Noir: Winemaker Norman Yost puts out plenty of single vineyard Pinot Noir offerings, but this is his affordable version using limited barrel selections from Solomon Hills Vineyard, River Bench Vineyard and Rio Vista Vineyard. The result is a remarkable wine less than half the price of his single vineyard wines and a real nice addition to our summer wine club. Winery price is $26.00 so just do the math and see what a value the wine club really is!!!
Cane and Fable 2013 Paso Robles Merlot: Cane and Fable is a collaboration of winemakers Curt Schalchlin and Andrew Jones from Sans Liege and Field Recordings Winery respectively. I had the opportunity to sample this wine just a short time ago and it really rocks. I’m not usually a Merlot fan, but this wine is rock solid and a great compliment to any back yard barbecue. Winery price is $21.00
Flying Nymph by Cass 2013 Paso Robles Rhone Red Blend: Flying Nymph is a superlative blending of 47% Mourvedre, 46% Grenache and 7% Syrah which is 100% delicious. Paso Robles is famous for Rhone varietals so it’s no surprise that this is such a hit. This is a nice and mellow wine perfect for sipping on the patio, while basking at the beach or camping with friends. $18.00 is the retail on this one.
Consilience 2012 Santa Barbara County Syrah: This is 84% Syrah with a sprinkling of Cabernet Sauvignon and Grenache. Lots of flavors explode out of the glass on this wine, namely black pepper, blackberries and old leather. This might be your favorite of the bunch with a winery retail of $22.00 a bottle. Yes, I have it for sale by the single bottle as well, as are all the other wine club offerings.
Blackjack Ranch 2006 Santa Barbara County Allusion Bordeaux Blend: This is a blend of Blackjack Estate Suicide Hill Cabernet Franc, Billy Goat Hill Merlot and Wilkening Cabernet Sauvignon. Notice nice scents of blackberries and espresso with deep flavors of cocoa, vanilla and boysenberry jam. The winery has this wine on special at $30.00 a bottle, but your Steller price is much lower!!!
So that’s Wine Club #5. Please come out this weekend and purchase it if you are already a member, or join today and get a selection of six wonderful wines that you truly won’t find anywhere else in the world!
